ABOUT
Hi I’m Nat, Chief Clay Lady at Upsydaisy Craft!
I have many hats (wooly and otherwise) ….. ceramics business owner, Mum/Wife and part time job juggler. One of my lovely part time jobs is handbuilding tutor and technician at the Arthouse in Sheffield.
I’ve always enjoyed the creative freedom of ceramics and after my craft degree finished I wanted to keep making and exploring clay. I now have a studio at home built by my husband at the bottom of the garden. It houses my 2 little kilns where I can happily sit listening to the radio, doodling and making. Though in reality it's mostly late at night with the local owl hooting at me to tell me I should really be in bed.
Getting a fresh bag of clay and turning it into some colourful jewellery through the magic of the kiln is always amazing, opening the kiln after a day of it heating my house is a lot of nervous excitement!
Away from the studio, I’m lucky enough to sell my creations in shops across the country and I love meeting people at craft fairs! I also teach ceramic workshops, I can come out to you or your group, I’ve been booked for kids parties, hen dos, and corporate team biilding/mindfulness days see my workshop page.
I’m on instagram for more of my biscuit waffling, colourful hair updates and general happy ceramics posts come follow me and say hello - INSTAGRAM
