Workshop - Handmade Nottingham

Join us and play with clay! You'll spend the evening making approximately 8 keepsake hanging decorations/jewellery pieces/plaques or a ceramic tealight holder/ Small plant pot - or a combination of both (time permitting)...

Nat from Upsydaisy Craft will teach you simple and more complex pottery techniques to create pattern and texture using a vast variety of cutters and stamps which she will provide (everything from flowers, hearts and dinosaurs to letters, clouds and houses).

As the pieces dry Nat will demonstrate glazing and bring along examples of the colours for the class to glaze their own pieces. The finished items will be loaded into individual boxes and taken away to be fired in the kiln and will be ready for collection at the shop approx. 2 weeks later – you will receive email confirmation and finished pieces can be posted out (this can be arranged in the class)

Nat will bring examples of what can be made, please feel free to bring along any stamps/textures you want to try in the clay, any ideas or sketches you may have. Or just come along and see what creativity inspires you on the night!

No previous experience required, lots of fun to be had playing with clay – recommended to bring an apron but the clay doesn’t stain.

All materials and equipment provided. Suitable for adults and responsible children.
